THe goal is christ
Above everything else, we exist to help our athlete's grow in their walk with God. The goal is God's purpose for us in Christ Jesus (Phillipians 3:14). If we seek first the kingdom, the rest will follow (Matthew 6:33). Performance does not measure our worth in the eyes of God and it does not measure an athlete's worth either. We pray together and for each other, have Bible studies, and all coaches have committed to following Jesus.
N I L
Genesis 1:26 tells us: Then God said, "let us make man in our image, after our likeness". As tempting as it is to fall in step with the world's teaching of name, image, and likeness, we are told in Romans 12:2 "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will"
We support our athlete's understanding of this first, before development of a personal brand with Hoops Village Brand Kit, including a personal website, player cards, and social media.

GameS + CAMPS
Hoops Village is an independent program, meaning we are not required to participate in set schedules like circuit teams are. We craft our schedule to maximize experience and exposure for our athletes. There are opportunities to play in front of college coaches during the LIVE period.
Hoops Village also works directly with colleges and universities to secure access and discounts to prospect camps for athletes interested in playing at the next level.

THE 3 A's OF
ATHLETE COMMITMENT
ACCOUNTABLE
Mistakes are part of basketball, and of life. When mistakes are made, athletes must learn to own up to them, learn from them and then put the steps in place to turn that next potential failure or mistake into an opportunity for growth and success. We do not believe in excuses.

AVAILABLE
Joining Hoops Village is a commitment. Athletes are expected to attend all practices, meetings and games. But availability does not stop there - To be available for themselves and their team, athletes must maintain good health habits, meet program and school eligibility requirements and show up mentally and physically ready to perform.

ADAPTABLE
Things do not always go according to plan and athletes need to be able to adapt when a team switches defenses or sends a trap. They need to be able to stay calm under pressure - This comes from putting themselves in stressful situations and learning to be comfortable while being uncomfortable.
